| This time around i want to conceal the rack enough as to not stick out like a sore thumb.i have seen alot of methods to cover backgrounds and ways to make other structures and have decided to use all of them in hopes to get most of there pros and few of the cons.i hope.here i will start of with one of my favorite basic racks. [img] [/img] i taped over the holes i wanted frag plugs to be placed. | |

| so i then trimmed it with a razor to what i thought looked half way decent.then i painted it with the drylok.i went with two shades of grey for some depth.it came out really well i just thought it didnt look like a salt water rock so didnt leave it be.not sure how i feel about it.everyone liked em both. [img] [/img] and here it is in outdoor light for a better view of the texture i got.looks and feels alot like rock. [img] [/img] | |

| originaly the plan was to sprinkle the rock sat on the taky foam then allow it to dry.afterwards you simply wash the rock salt away and it leaves its shape embeded in the foam.this gives it a nice texture that apears natural.i cut away much on this project so you only get the rock salt effect on a couple parts the rest is a dab effect with a brush and foam.i will do another of these with just rock salt at some point but this one is looking good without it. | |
