Hey all,

My names Ian, I am a student in Corvallis. I currently only have a 20 long freshwater tank and a ~4 inch Orange Baboon Tarantula.. I've had also had an Panther chameleon and have a little experience caring for a Brazilian Rainbow Boa. I have little room, but keep it full of plants and different animal interests. Glad to see a local forum open up for enthusiasts, I look forward to learning and making connections on here.

Thanks for the welcome... robert, right? I pretty much get everything at the animal house and you told me about the forum...and yeah I will take a picture eventually, but shes snuggled up nicely in a thick web right now. She used to hang out exclusively in a burrow under a coconut shell she made in the substrate..but a few kids decided to pull it off while I was out of town and she has since been back to the web. What kind of tarantulas do you have?

In the fishtank I have:
3 congo tetras
2 ottos
1 reticulated hillstream loach
1 blueberry shrimp
6 zebra danios (3albino)
1 yellow spiny eel

as for plants i have
1 dwarf lily
1 ammannia sulawesi
3 pads of fissidens fontanus
some corkscrew vall
some crypt wendtii (i believe)
3 banana plants
some java moss

I was also curious to know about the blueberry shrimp, do you know which species is being sold at the AH? I have tried to do some research online and it all seems to be people debating which blue shrimp is which..and I would like to put a few more shrimp because the fish have showed zero interest in the one so far.

hmm spiders..i have a pair of rose hair tarantulas,a starburst baboon, flat rock scorpion and unfortunatly i lost my skeleton tarantula not to long ago.he was the goods Twisted Evil .minus his wicked temper. Evil or Very Mad thats too bad as far as your baboon as from my experience its hard to get them to be terestrial as yours was... happy in its coconuthut .nice plant line up.i might ask to trade something for some fissidens if you ever have extra.as fara s the shrimps from what i understand they are a type of neocardina so they will hybridize with many other shrimps.i keep mine seperate from my cherries for that reason.
