first you must cut the mushroom.a clean razor blade is the tool of choice when on a rock as you will ruin most blades doing this.it is not manditory to get a piece of the mouth in each cutting but it does boost the survival rate and i recomend to aim for a piece of the mouth in the first few cutting you try to take. the first cutting you try should be a basic half cut to produce two large mushrooms rather quikly and safe when done proper.

then the free cutting should be placed in a low flow and medium lighted area to assist healing and attaching.i like to use a simple tuperware that is food safe and fill the bottom with a layer of medium to large crushed coral.this will act as a base for the mushroom to attach to.then place this tuperware in a place that gets just enough flow to not be stagnant but not too much as to blow out the little cutting.then simply have some patience and let it go undisturbed for at least a few days.usualy in about a week to ten days the mushroom will have attached to a rubble piece ready to glue to your favorite piece of live rock. more pics to come.

yeah it does but you should really get through the mouth on them.in the thread ricordea madness i frag one and there are a couple of pics.on the cabbage you can take cuttings and have them attach in a similar way.remeber that when you frag up the cabbage or any other soft coral make sure your skimmer is running well and your carbon is in check to help remove some of the excess toxins exuded from the fresh cutting.dont forget to have som flow over the cuttings but not to much to carry them away just enough to remove the mucus and debree that may accumulate.

so once you have the mushroom attached to a piece of rubble you can glue it to a piece of base or live rock alongside other mushrooms to give you the combo rock effect.just gently dry off the areas of the rock to be glued and dab an apropriate amount of super glue gel and let it sit for a minute.
then dry the underside of the rubble attached to the mushroom frag and simply put in the desired places.submerse and your finished.

I would try it if I had a separate system. Just think, If you had one mushroom, and you blended it (puree or coarse? haha), and you did get a million pieces...even with .1% survival you still get 1000 new mushrooms!
