| so i had a great idea one day to build a stand that fits behind my toilet so that i can enjoy my favorite aquatics while doing my daily duties.i mesured it up and i have enough room to put a 20 gallon long in.i decided to go salt and have the top tank be at about 60 inches as this is eye level for me.being short and all.i wanted to put a 20 long underneath as a sump and to act as another focal point once seated.i decided to go with a drilled bottom as i have no room as far as depth from the tiolet to the wall.[img] [/img]

| i couldnt brace the bottom with a frame for stability so i made this stand feet to help.[img] [/img] i mesured it so well i didnt plan on there being trim around the toilet and had to cut or rip it out.it was getting late.[img] [/img] i didnt have the right tools but a dremel helped me take a chunk of the beams so that i could wedge the stand into place.[img] [/img] | |

| alright so you may have noticed that the top 20 long is going to be the home to some new tube anemones so i needed to add some sand.my friend V told me the low down on keeping them and sand is key.i went out to the local pet store and my buddy dale hooked me up with some good priced natures ocean sand.[img] [/img] and here it is cloudy as can be.i added alot of live rock from another tank and some live sand as well.got to get this show on the road.as you can see there is a really crappy air driven skimmer that i have to have angled so that it has any effect at all.and the maxi jet 1200 on the right as a return pump.so ghetto...so good.i spent so little on this setup its awsome and it is all working smooth.it makes me want to have a seat and take a load off.[img] [/img] | |

| so i have been putting in some base rocks and got a bunch of kinda live rock from the LFS for a good price down in the bottom tank.i have neglected to post the fishes i have purchase for this tank.my friend M&M picked me out a nice pair of clarkii clowns wich are a beautiful yellow orange.i also put in a cleaner shrimp,a sally light foot for algae.a few hermits red and blue leg recruits from my cleaner 33 as well as there snail counterparts.a sweet coris wrasse that i am hoping will be a biological control for planaria, sand sifter star and a tiny tiny neon velvet damsel.[img] [/img] | |

[img] [/img] before the lights and then tools for the job. [img] [/img] [img] [/img] simple drilling and wiring. | |

| i have to wet my pallet before i decide on my favorite.so in esscence i am developing a taste.and so far i must say i like the pink skunks the most.they seem to exhibit activities i would expect from them in the wild.a little timid but not so bad with an anemone or two.just you wait.. dont i have like 18 more to try...provided i can get one of each at some point.. | |

| I think there are probably more than 18 if you count color morphs...there are probably 18 percs alone. I want your onyx black false percs...havent seen them lately...we need pics! and I think you need to start a clownfish database, maybe a damsel one too. just species accounts. | |
