that means alot of cleaning and out door work for me.drained one of my feeder tanks out side and now i have a bunch of goldfish in a bucket until i finish treating the tank.kinda like fish limbo i guess.i have been feeding alot of them off as i feel even worse about keeping them in the bucket.[img]Summer time. got everything salted and coppered and washed out then refilled.the fish are in the stock tank and happy.they are already trying to forage for foods.then i have had to do the same thing to my daphnia pond minus treatment.i suppose i shouldve said something before as i had alot of free daphnia today.there will be a next time i am sure.while doing the big clean up on the daphnia i had to clean out a bunch of drift wood as well.inside tis drift wood was some small shrimps like saltwater copapods.little sand fleas but in the wood.they looked to be great fish food and as i placed the pieces of wood into my other pond the fish all started to pick at it.i wish i could figure a way to harvest these guys but i dont see how aside from rotating wood to tanks.anyhow back to work.

got to go to the local river and catch some nice wild life.some pretty cool bleeny looking guys that seem to be out in large numbers.they have a real neat camoflage to them.i also caught the smallest crawfish ever.i hope i can raise him up alongisde my other crustaceans.i also found a large aquatic larvae of some sort.i havent had time to sit down and actualy look at the guy and ID it but it is an impresive insect i must say.i plan on returning soon as the weather permits and grabbing some more goodies.i saw alot of minnows as well as some clams but they were further in the water and i was ill prepared.

man it has been getting warm.and so are my stock ponds.i dont have electricity to run pumps in them all. i could but i am conservative with out door electronics for mutiple reasons.anyhow the oxygen levels get pretty low and a long story short is i have lost a few things.nothing i am going to cry about but it is very disapointing especialy after losing so many shubunkin fishes a few weeks ago to some felines.maybe i will cry. Sad

i guess it depends on how hot i think it will get. as soon as they hit 82 i try to get the bottles in.and if i think it will be hot all day like it has been i put them in when it hits around 78-79.this is really only upstairs in my house as the other tanks have enough time to cool off at night.upstairs stays pretty hot all day and night. Sad

made a trip to the local river to see what was out and about.found alot of little guys then i saw this bad boy.i have been looking for a bottom dweller that can survive the cold here and all of the fishes in the pettrade have been banned as far as saleable fish for the hobby.so this was cool.

here you can see a small one.

here is the big guy

i am still suprised i caught him as they are pretty cunning and i had a 4 inch net.

well fiddle sticks the summer is now over.now i have to turn the heat up and start closing some windows at night.i have so many projects to finish and no more sunshine left.i need a garage so bad but i will have to settle on my room for now.all in good time.its going to suck when i have to do some painting or anything else that requires ventilation.although all of this will most likely not stop me.
