my husband and i are herp hobbiests. at the moment we have 2 red corn snakes, 2 king hybrids, and 2 bearded dragons one is a beautiful color morph. we also have a failing colony of dubia roaches (don't have a heater for them yet so at the moment they are just living not breeding) and a very productive colony of rats.all of our herps are in breeded pairs. and we have had a clutch from the beardies and the corns....but although we have seen them mate we haven't yet had a clutch from our female king.our beardies had a batch of slugs basically and the corns had beautiful eggs but we didn't incubate them properly so unfortunately they didn't get to grow and hatch.as with any hobbiest it starts with one that gets you interested and expands from there....i used to be a cat person but after i met my husband and we moved into a few "no pet, but aquariums ok" apartments we got our first beardie. and after much bad information and lack of knowledge unfortunately loki died after just a year. now after many books, magazine articles, and internet searches i am a much better herp mommy.
