| Does anyone have any suggestions for a good fish or invert that will eat green algae in my 65 gal tank. I had a yellow tang which was great until it started beating up on my butterfly fish. Now that the tang is in another tank, the algae is going nuts.

| good old sea hares are amazing.you could get a little troup of blue leg hermits or the halloween cone shell hemits.you could try a differnt tang like a blue eye or yellow eye bristle tooth tang. | |

| i would call around to see who has one.they are usualy pretty inexpensive and work great they just are not the most apealing creatures.from my experience the yellow and blue eyes are pretty good mannered but are a bit harder to find and cost a little bit more so until you can find a remedy i might just grab some blue leg hermits and turn down the photoperiod.dont forget about the phosgaurd. | |

| Garret often has sea hares in, but worth calling first. he's where I got mine and it's chomping like a champ! I've heard the uglier ones tend to be hardier, but that could be a rumor. (mine's boring brown, some have blue spots, etc).
yellow tangs can be somewhat aggresive, the bristletooths tend to be nicer and don't grow too big, would probably be fine in your 65g. could also think about a lawnmower blenny (grumpy old man face) or an army of turbo/trochus snails/hermits
is your algae more of the caulerpa type or more like hair algae? my YT eats both voraciously, but I've heard the bristetooths focus more on the HA type. my sea hare has actually stripped diatoms off of prolifera leaving the actual prolifera intact.

| also, the sea hare will probably run you $18-$25...cheaper than most any tang. | |

\ I think if they're not big, they'll grow that big...I could be wrong, though. I really love mine, he worked wonders. I might need to get rid of him caus eI just got a second tang!!! I'll work on a pic soon, but I got a tomini tang to add to my yellow and I'm very excited!
