i'm stupid. really stupid. but i just have to tell ya about it Wink

yesterday I filled a 10 gallon tub with water and salt. Somehow when i picked something up it pulled up the extention cord and the outlet end of the cord with the heater and pump fell into the water.

my first reaction was, shit, that should not be in there! So I reached in and grabbed it. so stupid. Got jolted as i pulled it out... then once it was out of the water I felt i needed to unplug the heater and pump so i did that while getting jolted again. stupid.

common sense would have led me to leap to the power strip and unplug the extention cord but this was just my reflex reaction.

this was my first time getting a good jolt. dammit, i almost got a darwin award...

Don't feel to bad things like that can happen to almost anybody. I remember one time when my xwife was getting ready to bake a cake one day and as she was running the hand mixer which had a detachable cord and the cord came out of the mixer and fell into the batter. well the cord was still plugged into the wall outlet when she proceeded to lick the batter off the end of the cord and guess what happend. Yep she got the shock of her life. The best thing about it was that i was watching the whole thing happen, man was it funny. I still laff everytime I think about it. thanks for giving me a good chuckle Laughing

well i like the one when this guy who will remain un named was trying to position the circulation pump in his coral tank with one hand and using the other hand to attemp to plug it into an extention cord.BAD NEWS BEARS!and then there is just the other day when i was building another stand and being distracted by good TV since i have to use my living room as my shop and OOPS! a slip off the screw and what do you know my thum is SCREWED! unfortunatly i was not in the frame of mind to get a picture right after the wound as i was holding it shut and moving to the bathroom to do some metal extraction and sterilization.but here it is many bandages and a day or two later.
