Here's my little killer coral. This guy has killed more tankmates than I care to recall.

Looks so innocent, doesn't he? He's only about 2-3 inches across, but he's killed Monti caps, Favias, Caulastrea, and a Hammer.

All by himself now. I keep a 6-inch wide perimeter around him.

(Goniastrea aspera)

He gets fed occasionally. I have him in a shady corner, but my LEDs are awfully bright. I still think of it as shady -- pretty much Acan habitat. Some days he gets almost flourescent green and puffy, most of the time he looks like the picture. I did have him in a bright location for a while and he clearly didn't like it. Clearly. Shady is what he want, with nobody around.

As you know, everything grows slow in my tank, but he's grown since he came home. Those sweepers are looong. I think 6 inches is barely enough elbow room for this guy, and I have a Monti about 6.1 inches away! Both are attached to their rocks which are sort of attached to each other. So, I'm worried. BTW, my water and such are perfect, I think I have slow growth because of the LED spectrum.

Anyway, this guy kills fast. Just a couple taps with those sweepers and your gone.

Here is my killer. Diploastrea. Never seen anything stronger. I would like to though lol. I am thinking about sacrificing a digi frag to time how long until death haha. Its almost 10 inches across with sweepers about the same. I wouldnt call it agressive cuz it never goes after things but has the strongest defenses I have seen.

Beautiful colors! I see creatures close by. My guy won't let anything nearby...even my Nepthea/Capnella was not happy about being stung.
