| I have a peice of caulastrea that is turning yellow for some reson.It has not been moved for around a year.Any ideas why this may be happening? [img] [/img] | |

| from what i have seen sometimes in absence of light colors can actualy become more vibrant with certain corals but in this case it doesnt seem that way.it is also possible that you have another type of calaustrea in the mix.there are two common found types of green calaustrea the most common being the nice green i see in the pic.the other is a bright neon green variety known as cryptonite candy cane/trumpet coral and these are more sensitive and slower growing.that could be the case here is that the brighter one is a seperate type.i have never heard of calaustrea exchanging zooxanthelae but in the coral world all sortsa strange things happen.i would love to take a look at it in person and i will shortly | |
