As the title says this is a thread about PAR readings from various lighting units and bulbs. These readings are carried out using an apogee PAR meter and in clear waters using no glass or acrylic tank coverings unless stated.I use many types of lighting units to keep my tanks bright as well as bulbs of all sorts so I should be able to come up with some interesting findings.

This reading is one i took for the Marine Land Hidden Accent LEDs Actinic model.460 nano meter.suprisingly high PAR for being just an accent actinic light.First off this light is a little differnt than testing some of the other lights as it has the same LEDs the whole strip so there is not any degridation of light from deviating from the center of the light as there may be in some longer tubes.Second this unitis designed to go inside the aquarium right inside the inner lip of the tankthis means that the first reading is actualy in the first inch.

inch depth 267 PAR

inch depth 156 PAR

inch depth 82 PAR

inch depth 60 PAR

inch depth 52 PAR

inch depth 47 PAR

inch depth 40 PAR

inch depth 35 PAR
