thanks again eyeballer those nerites are awsome.as far as the eggs go i have moved them into a salt water and placed them in a catch container so that my little hermits cant go and eat em.now i will wait and see what comes from this experiment as i also left some in the fresh watertank as well.

so they ended up disapearing at some point.I am not sure if they were scavenged or not but i do see tiny tiny snails in the tank but i am not seeing the same shell structure or any similarcoloration, they are all white, but maybe thats how the young are?regardless they seem to have all disperced or become foods for other inhabitants because i cant find any.the eggs in the fresh water tank stayed in there for ever, they are hard to get off any surface too be it tank wall or plastic plant.no hatching in fresh water.not to worry though as i have another batch of nerite eggs to put in a differnt tank and go from there and i will hope that the little white snails i saw were nerite babies and maybe they are hiding under a piece of live rock.

I'd love to hear what happens. Hopefully the little guys are just juvenile nerites. I'd love to get some more. Maybe trade something after they grow up.

i really need to get a bead on a camera that can take macro so i can start getting better IDs on some things.its impossible to describe some of the things i see.for instance there are at least two types of tiny snails i am seeing but i am unsure wich are wich seeing as many snails change or dont develope a full pattern until they reach a larger size.i will find one its just a matter of time.
