Oh don't we all love water changes? Well today as I gathered my buckets of water and my trusty siphon hose I looked at the top of my African Dwarf Frog tank. Having risen to the surface was the stinky body of one of my Mystery Snails. Through further inspection my other Mystery Snail hybrid was dead as well, along with most of my other mini snails, if not all. So instead of the normal water change I performed a "Super" water change and removed any bodies/plant matter, not to mention changed out far more than half of the tank. I moved the rocks around and cleaned the filter. Through my water change I am happy to know that my frogs are still alive and well. I decided to post this to ask if any of you have any similar stories to share or even some advice to prevent this or to better clean my fresh water tank.
I suppose I am going to wait a week or so before restocking on snails....
