One of my tanks has Angelfish eggs. Do both parents have to be free? I have the male in a isolation net next to the eggs which had been laid on a Sword plant. Should i set him free now, or keep him in isolation?
Do both parent fish need to be protecting the eggs?

as long as the eggs are fertilized then the parents are theoreticaly not needed to protect the eggs.It usualy takes a few tries for the parents to get protecting the eggs right if they are new to it.You can always take the eggs and hatch em out in the same tank water and lethem lay another batch.

So the nagels I got from you are actualy breeding. They have layed eggs twice now and seem to be good about keeping them clean but I believe there are egg predators eating the eggs in the night.Over the two days they have disappeared.I think its either the plecos or the khuli loach.I need an angel tank now.
