Tired of paying for those expensive airstones?

i thought this was kind of funny when i saw it (i mean how cheap do you have to be to avoid the cost of an air stone), but the more i think about it, its just a quick fix, just put a shell on it as a weight and it would work in a pinch...







they just jammed a piece of choice gravel in the end.

Oh man---I don't know why I never thought of this before. I'm always complaining because I think the bubbles from regular airstones look too "fizzy," but of course the bubbles from just the air tubing alone are enormous...this is such a simple solution it's painful!
