| Have you tried to put some of the purple variety next to them? I was wondering if they would fight but never got around to trying. I bet they help pick up some of the scraps from the messier eaters. | |

| I believe that the different colors will not fight and that they can grow up to 10 inches across.The predatory animals don't leave any food for it.They are extremely competitive with each other.I recently saw Amplexidiscus selling for $ 89.98 on a retail site.Needless to say,I will make a effort to spot feed it more often. | Well there are not many types available from what I have seen so maybe that is the reason for a higher dollar on a select variety. Killer pic by the way.

" />Here's a macro shot of my Amplexidiscus.I have this housed with a green serpent star and a snowflake eel.It has adapted well to the lower lighting conditions of the tank.I removed it from my main display when I caught it in the act of consuming a chromis.
