POTM January 2012

well the new year is here and its that time again.time to get some of your best pictures together and have a Picture Of The Month for January.as usual only one picture per person. the prizes will be posted in a few daysand the deadline will be the 10th so lets see those shots!

woohoo! time to get some shots of the new crew... and i want to see more mvp frogs! though i really dont need another type of animal to collect... but man those look cool

what types of pictures are we lookin for?

its a free for all as long as it pertains to pets.a picture of good quality or of a interesting behavior.obviously the judges being the forum members will sort out what is POTM worthy.

i am thinking inverts of some sort.those always go well.although i do like the dart frogs.hmmm i need a macro lense or a under water picture box.

so here is my shot.my tube anemones in my toilet tank.this shot came out real nice i think as most people dont know how pretty they are until you see em in person.there movements are fluid as well but obviously that cannot be displayed here.not scraping the back wall and not having much light on this tank helped.

damn, thats an AWESOME pic... like stars in the background.

it ended up looking like that when i moved the light up front to try and get the purple one brighter.the stars are just my neglect to keep the glass clean.

Here's my submission. It is my sailfin tang. Really nice personable fish. He eats nori and krill from my hand and is completely tame. Every once in a while he really struts his stuff around the tank with fins fully unfurled and i think this looks so cool. He's the king of the tank that's for sure. Someday he'll be strutting around in larger water...

Ill post more frogs next month. I am proud of this shot. It was a cell phone so it was hard to get
