| no doubt...I want one for myself now too! That is the big display in portland I maintain. That hippo in the WAAAAY back is at least 5-6 inches. And each rabbit fish has a mate (or at least a buddy), Ill find another pic | |

| I thought you couldn't keep seahorses with stinging corals at all. | |

| all natural rock, but that was the reason they wanted me, was to do a lot with a little. It was an existing tank, and they had enough rock work, but the previous maintenance people literally just dumped it in and attached corals. So I had to make ledges and archways with rocks that already had corals attached. It was a headache but made an impression. Yes that is birdsnest, They have a softie factory right now and a few large LPS. They are wanting to take the plunge into SPS, acroporas specifically. They want the dense stag look. So we are testing some hardier species, making adjustments as needed, and its going pretty well.
There was one incidence of the tank getting to warm in the recent warmest weather. I would come in on mondays and things wouldnt look as perky as they had in previous months but everything checked out. I thought the problem looked like heat stress. A max/min thermometer and some phone calls later...I come to find out that they turn off the AC to the building on the weekends and it got HOT over the weekend, like 86ish degrees. A quick phone call and that was fixed. Those are the little things that make this business unique, you can experience many different issues than in the home aquarium, and the answers aren't always so readily available. | |
