I have a brain coral that appears to be dividing. Are these corals had to frag? I would love to have two and I don't like the sagging look.I have seen pictures of nice large multi-lobed specimens. However I don't think my 40 gallon tank could support or fit a large brain.

now that is a coral that i have been wanting to frag for a while.i have done lobos wich are sightly similar in the fact that you need an extra mouth and you should come in from the bottom cutting almost though to the flesh then place back into the tank to alow for a natural seperation.last time i did a lobo i decided to just make the cut and everything healed back just fine after an iodine dip and a little down time.i suppose a long story short is ,no they are not easy to frag but, as soon as you want to try let me know and i will break out the saw.

I think it may be a good time to cut this guy.In the morning somtime before I turn on the lights (the flesh is naturally retracted).I have counted four mouths, two on each"'fold".I really think it's ready.

Is there a size comparison? Has it grown much in the last 6 months? So many shades of green in there,I miss my open brain Sad

Apparently the coral has grown in mass not size, if that makes sense. It has a much nicer folded look as shown in this recent tank shot.
