Plant Care Questions Empty

Here's a picture of a plant floating in my aquarium. (Maybe Higher Thinking can refresh my memory on the species name.) The root system is growing down relatively well in several areas. Can I clip between the segment between the root outgrowths to create multiple smaller plants?

Next questions... here are some amazon swords. One leaf is completely bleached out in the first photo. I plan to clip it off. I'm just wondering if this is the normal growth pattern or if it indicates that I need more nutrients in the water or something. Same question for the second photo which shows a partially bleached out leaf.

it could very well be from a minor lack in a nutrient but if it is putting of many more leaves than the one or two that are going to be clipped then you are good.as for the first plant water wisteria can be pruned were the roots have formed and planted for proagation.have you started doseing yet.it isnt manditory but it can help prevent deficencies.

I'm dosing with standard seachem. About 1ml per week in 20 gal. Sound about right?

i dont believe so.i think he has a hygrophylia dephormis and water sprite is usualy a ceratopteris species.i could be wrong.both can look similar particularly when there is an abundance of light wich causes a more pinnated leaf structure.when they look alike they are often sold as the same accidentaly.
