75 gallon tank build

that came out very nice indeed.

Well it has been a while since I added an update on my tank. Last week i made a nice big order from MVP and got lots of very nice coral frags and a super sweet T5 light that I needed for the front of the tank for dawn/dusk lighting. The pictures below dont show all of the frags and they arent the best quality but you'll get the idea... I am really happy with the way this tank is turning out. Only 3 months old, started from scratch but i've ben very careful along the way to try and keep everything even and steady. The tank could use a lot of maturation but that will come in time, especially since I used sterile rock to start (but I have a lot and there are LOTS of smaller rocks in there so I have a lot of surface area which is key)... Anyway, without further ado...

OH MAN.... .so much goodness.getting some more SPS in there isee.i have been wanting one of those green tipped sarcos for a while.everything looks good in your tanks man.and what kind of montipora is that?

thanks badx... according to mike that's a montipora danae. I used to know a danae... anyway... it is cool because it is like 4x as thick as the other monitis i know so its a lot less fragile. plus it just looks cool. Everything is doing so well in the 75 so I am really happy. All the coral are out, happy, feeding, fat. The fish are out, happy, feeding and super fat (my yellow coris wrasse has a pudgy belly- he's also developing really cool opaque/white markings on his face and his gills are starting to look like eyes... i dunno if that is normal or what! )...

OMFG... is my coris wrasse gonna look like this????

i have never seen a yellow coris wrasse like that.i have ,now that you mention it ,seen some with what apear to be developing markings on the head area of several differnt yellow coris wrasses wich could very well be the begining of a nice little mask.can you nab a pic of the speedy little guy?

here he is... the markings are very subtle right now and that false eye on his gill is new in the last couple of weeks...

WOW that is pretty cool as i see those two bars forming on the front of his face.now that is something to look forward to.

yeah man it could end up looking really cool! I bet that picture i found of the other fish is enhanced a bit- the colors dont look quite right... but *something* is going on with that face

yeah, live creatures do what they want, hard to say anything with 100% conviction in regards to them, but i think its gonna look cool...
