purple up purpleness

does anyone else here use purple up? I am just curious to see if other people have the same results I do.

I noticed a while back when i was doing really frequent water changes and frequent purple up applications (like 4x a week) I had really noticeable SPS growth and growth of coraline.

have been slacking for a couple of months and been changing the water every 3 weeks or so and infrequent purple up use for 2 months and things seem to have stalled a bit. I just started using purple up again and the coraline is popping purple and the sps is showing a little more of the white growing tips...

I think there are other ways to achieve this same effect but this is so simple. Water change and purple up...

sounds like you might want to look into a product to dose.although i suppose you are doseing in a way.i would do some tests and see what you are low in and what the purple up is providing and go from there.as far as the purple up i have heard nothing but good things about it . i have only had the oppotunity to use a small amount as i was just finishing off a bottle but i am convinced it helped get my main tank up and spreading the purple goodness.
now if i could find the bottle and then the ingredients...

I think it is basically just a bunch of calcium! But i'll look into it...

I have a friend who uses this product whenever he starts up a new tank.i have been on the frence on trying it myself as i am a man with patience but he is a firm believer in this product and i must say his tanks are a vibrant purple.

so while at a friends house we lloked up the ingredients of the purple up and it is much more than just calcium and magnesium.there is also strontium and iodine in proportions that complement each other.just thought i would throw that out there in case these are things you already dose or dont dose at all.
