| i have no shop, shed or storage area so all my power tools end up in my room.i also do most of my work in my room as well.sometimes i stay up way to late doing some tinkering project.you know how it goes with DIY peoples.well anyhow picked this board up and mounted it to the wall above my bed.now i can look at all the stuff i own as if i could purchase it all over again right before bed.its like a mini store in my room.sweet. | so first some basic two by fours cut with my crappy miter saw.gotta jiggle the laser some. [img] [/img] after cutting the apropriate number of board at the proper lengths i predrilled some pilot holes and bored them out for the screws. [img] [/img] then assemble the first frames for the shelves. [img] [/img] | |

| and here is the stand pretty much done.there will be shelf room infront of the tanks middle and top shelf and the bottom will be for two 10 gallon tanks length wise.the middle for a 20 high and the top for a 29 gallon with a overflow drilled through the bottom leading to the 20 gallon. | here we go again.going to canabalize some pieces here and some garabage there to make another gutter light that i am so fond of....as far as cost anyways. [img] [/img] this was a throw away fixture i am salvaging the end caps and starter. [img] [/img] some good old incandescent sockets to go with that. | |

| i am going to use a plastic gutter to act as a fixture to hold the flourescent and PC bulbs.the gutter is weather resistant, colored white for refelective properties, heat resistant, and CHEAP.i have made a couple of these and they work out rather well if you dont already have more powerfull lighting.i ususaly do an 420nm actinic flourescent tube combined with several 6500 k compact flourescent bulbs for oomph.they work great on heavy planted fresh water tanks too.now i got to get some pictures up.be patient. | |

| yeah, it took me a while to spot the rain gutters in use as lighting hoods and trickle filters at your place, they really do a great job and look semi professional. | |
