Moseleya coral Empty
PostSubject: Re: Moseleya coral   Moseleya coral EmptyWed Dec 17, 2014 12:35 am

The first time I saw it was a long time ago when I was chatting with MVP about odd ball corals and he mentioned a coral that often gets confused with favia but looks like a cross between that and a calaustrea. I knew I wanted to see what he was talking about and asked to see his tank again. Sure enough it was a coral that was easily overlooked in his full blown reef tank, but once a closer inspection was made I noticed it had a certain structure that separated it from the rest. Later I did some research and there is not much out there. The little literature says to treat it as a favia and I must agree, it eats like a acan though, very glutonous.I remember seeing this one in a few shops and it is often listed as a regular favia.
